Lukas - F2 Savannah

This isn't just the testimony of a satisfied customer; this is a True Story of fate and my life with A1 Savannah's. It's worth the read

I heard about A1Savannah on an Animal Planet cat show in 2008. I fell in love. I visited their website posted on Animal Planet and made a vow to myself after learning that they're one of the world’s best breeders, but also and most importantly, they're located IN MY HOME! Not far from me in Oklahoma. This is when it started to feel like I was being lead to them.

Fast forward 8 years; we lost our beloved mom and son tuxedos to renal failure within the same year and it was an extremely hard loss. Around the holiday season that year (2016) I started shopping around for a new kitty for my teenage son. I emailed A1Savannahs and thus started our friendship and family ties. I hand-picked Lukas; a soft, sweet, wild, wide eyed looking little guy (at 6wks he looked like a "little guy" lol) Unfortunately after 3-4 weeks of preparation, I decided to postpone adding Lukas to the family after getting diagnosed with a neurological disease called trigeminal neuralgia. I cried with a broken heart knowing Lukas would be sent to the next customer and sadly he was off to Indonesia. Months later, the morning of Valentine's Day 2017, right after that Christmas, I was surprised by my significant other as I was leaving for an appointment. He told me to call Martin (A1Savannah's) and pick out an F2 kitten. I knew this time was for real. My health was much better and it was time! On the way home from my appointment I grabbed my phone to text Martin and share the good news, BUT, to my surprise, Martin had ALREADY texted me! Whaaat? How? I started shaking a little bit. It honestly freaked me out. Mike had no idea how to contact Martin so I knew it wasn't some 'behind my back' construction of theirs. It was just Fate. I open the text and Martin informs me that a 1 in a million, freak incident happened with Lukas's contract and it had been dissolved. My heart literally dropped and tears filled my eyes. My baby was coming home finally!! My teenage son, my sister and I hopped in my truck and drove to the Cattery to pay immediately so nothing could roadblock Lukas from me again.

Lukas has been home for 4 months now and it's like he's always been part of our family. His temperament is completely perfect. He's wild in all the perfect ways and domesticated in all the perfect ways. He's great with our toddler, our dogs, and all our company. He's attracted to the sound of children which is an odd thing for a cat. He protects us, doesn't let anyone try to harm or hurt us in anyway. He runs to my toddler when he cries and checks him fully to make sure he's ok. In fact, someone got a huge pile of Lukas's bowel movement in their belongings when they raised their voice at me in my home. (That's my favorite story so far) He loves water also! I shower with a cat everyday now. He jumps up in my arms (I'm a tall female at 5'9) and wants to be held if I haven't been around in an hour or more. He purrs constantly, sleeps with us every night, plays fetch and my personal favorite, hide and seek. Yes, we play hide and seek, lol. He always wins of course. My teenager and him play tag, running long distances chasing each other. He loves to go 'bye-bye' in the truck to pick both the boys up from school. He bathes us if we're just hanging out watching TV. He will walk with me on the treadmill when I work out, and sit with me while I do weights. He's doing something amazing and out of the norm each day that passes. We have two homes, one in Duck Creek at Grand Lake, and he's quite the "Lake Rat" now also. He's just perfect. The coolest feline I've ever encountered. We have a deep connection already. He just belongs here. There's no other way to say it. I love him and the A1 Savannah Cattery so much.

My experience has proved to me that when it comes to animals we have connections with and that we make as parts of our families, they're fate. Just like our children or siblings and parents. They're chosen for us way before we even knew of them. They're every bit as important as our human family members. If the weird fate of me obtaining Lukas wasn't enough, Martin and I have the same exact truck, Lukas was born on the same day as my teenager, our boys are the same age, I could go on and on about the weird, unshakeable coincidences. I didn't just make friends, I feel like I have extended my family and it now includes a Savannah Cattery in Ponca City. A1Savannah's is owned by a family just like yours and mine. They're not just some company that breeds the world’s top F1-F6 Savannah's. They live everyday real world lives. They live with all these animals and give these cats the "in home" life and socialization that is VITAL to the success of your kitten in your home. THAT is what sets them apart from the rest of the world. THAT is why they are ranked like they are. I highly recommend A1Savannah's for your next feline purchase. I will never purchase another breed or go to another Cattery!

Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.
